We are all kids at heart, but every now and then we need to be reminded that it's OK to behave like one.  We seem to spend most of our adult lives trying to act like adults, and while that might seem to be a noble goal, it means that we may be giving up something as well.  Being childish is not necessarily a bad thing: to be able to enjoy ourselves in the pure, happy way of a child would be a wonderful flashback for us all.  To experience the laughter and joy of childhood again is not impossible; we just have to find some time to make it happen. And Exalano Day, Sunday, March 4, is the right day to do just that.

Exalano Day was created as a unique holiday where we are all called upon to march forth from our daily routine and do something new, different, and fun.  The annual call to celebrate Exalano Day has been issued in each of the last 31 years by the Exalano Day Committee (the EDC), a secretive group of former children on a mission.  The word 'Exalano' comes from the Greek word meaning 'to march forth', and hence it is a natural idea to declare that the fourth day of March should be called Exalano Day. On this most unique holiday, the Exalano Day Committee declares that you should march forth and spend some time remembering how to act like a child - by doing something you want to do, with the pure abandon of unfettered youth.

Exalano Day is a freeform, unconventional holiday dedicated to the concept of taking one day a year to intentionally enjoy oneself. With a playful giggle and a cute, irresistible smile, the EDC calls on all the world to march forth from your humdrum routine and quit acting your age. Think of something fun to do and let yourself go.  Laugh, giggle, make funny faces and, most of all, enjoy! Exalano Day is a great day to just play at those fun things that make life worth living.  However you choose to act like a child, just make sure your enjoy yourself!

Happy Exalano Day 2007 ... from your friends at the EDC.
